The Anesthesia Research Center (ARC) brings together essential research resources within the Department of Anesthesiology at Mass General Brigham. Central to the departments mission, ARC exists to support investigators throughout the research process in an effort to optimize study design and execution, regulatory oversight and statistical methods for department investigations.

ARC consists of clinical research coordinators and fellows, data scientists, statisticians and research administrators with extensive experience in clinical research. By providing a robust research infrastructure, ARC aims to facilitate clinical research endeavors, ensure regulatory compliance, train the next generation of clinician-scientists, and ultimately produce and publish high-impact clinical investigations.

MISSION

Research has been part of the hospital’s mission since its founding more than 200 years ago. The MGB Department of Anesthesiology is committed to supporting this mission and has an extensive history of research, including innovations that form the foundation of our specialty.
